Natural latex is manufactured starting with organic, natural, white sap produced from a tree called “hevea”. Synthetic latex is a derivative of oil.
Our latex, which is 100% natural, is produced without any synthetic fibres, chemical substances or additives. Moreover, contrary to synthetic latex, our latex is 100% biodegradable and therefore respectful of the environment.

Latex is part of ancestral culture in Asia, South America and Africa.
Hevea was discovered by Christopher Columbus at the time of his second voyage to America (1493-1496). By observing the natives playing with a ball made from gum from the hevea tree, he first encountered latex.
In 1876, Sir Henry Wickham collected hevea seeds to grow them in the botanical park of Kew Gardens in England. Afterward, he decided to send his collection to Sri Lanka and in Malaysia.
Since then, the interest in latex has continued to grow.

Because 100% natural latex guarantees the same or even better technical qualities than other materials used for the top-of-the-line bedding: comfort, resilience, and longevity of the products.
Because 100% natural latex provides you with the benefits of an organic material: more breathability, naturally anti-dust mite and anti-bacterial. Because we spend more than one third of our lifetime sleeping, which justifies the choice of a comfortable, resistant and healthy mattress.
Because by choosing Biosense bedding products in 100% natural latex, you’re making a responsible choice for the environment, both in terms of how the product is cultivated and manufactured (with respect for the environment), and its biodegradability (waste processing).

The latex foam is manufactured starting with the sap of the hevea, which runs out of the tree when the bark is punctured. This organic sap is collected then separated from its impurities. It is then mixed with water using a centrifugal machine. The transformation into foam is then carried out by the injection of air into the material and heating.
This his how we obtain a material that is at the same time soft and very resistant, a foam that is 100% natural and has incomparable natural and technical qualities.
